Just a couple days left here before Cynra & I make our way back home.
The wedding was an interesting experience. I had no prior gauge of what a Hindu wedding was like, but they are definitely different from the panoply of Christian ceremonies I've attended.
I'm still gonna need to see a licence. I'm not sure when they got married, exactly. Possibly when the robes were tied together.
The meal was served during the service. The guests were on the platform that the priest was performing the ceremony on. There were many flowers, open flames, and tall hats.
The ceremony was held in the
Ffort at Raichak, which was probably one of the best hotel complexes I've ever visited. I'm sorry we didn't take our bathing suits with us. It required us to take a very, very exciting trip out of Kolkatta on a Sunday afternoon.
The reception was at the resort we've been staying at for the past week. It was very enjoyable, although dry.
