Haha ranting is go--

HONESTLY today I was thinking of shoving a bunch of characters into a SAWII type of scenario except using the 'verse where Lyrin is a serial killer and Marvey is a psychotic manslayer and she is like, the bst liar in existance but is also still really bipolar and crazy and basically made the whole thing to fuck with Lyrin cause she probably HATES THE STUPID LITTLE MIDGET FOR TRYING TO UPSTAGE HER.

Also been debating Marvey with a lisp, but idk how well that would go down with her bouts of softspoken/fucking batshit personalities. I COULD GIVE OLLIE THAT LISP MAYBE or even Jude he is gay enough already it works.

anyway been thinking about CITIES!

So when the initial cast is given godhood and goes into *~*~*~the world*~*~ they pretty much don't want anything to do with each other. Mostly because its like the same thing as going from high school to college-- who gives a fuck about those guys MOVING ON.

Besides, the end of the world and having to be the shapers of a new one just because some crazy 14-year-old-allmighty-being decided to come around, fuck everything up and KILL YOU ALL, woudn't really make them want anything to do with each other. There are alot of memories attached to faces after all is said and done, and alot of the would probably still remember surviving those last few months together and DYING NEXT TO EACH OTHER and then having to exist in the Underlying/Overlying (i have no quite figured out where I am going with this yet) and then BECOMING GODS LIKE, OVERNIGHT would not make them really want to dwell on the past i think.

So they pretty much bugger off to the farthest reaches of this new Earth they can find (I think I might just need to come up with like.....a new planet name, cause even though it'll be the same basic principals as Earth, because Sovena is in charge it won't have developed the same way so there might be some different shaped continents and different types of people and different wars and different species because of climate change and natural evolution that got fucked up the ass cause of this chick and YADDAYADDA MOVING ON)

But when I finally come up with a name, thats where everyone goes.

All I can think of at the moment is:

LYRIN:
Who is obviously not my favourite character ever and doesn't nearly get as much attention as he deserves. Lyrin buggers off to the deepest, darkest, most lonesome corner of some woods and digs and digs and digs to bury himself away and ends up creating miles and miles of caves (this exact process is hazy even to him, as he had only recently traded his eyes and didn't have too good a concept of his new vision yet).

However, he still exists to the new people of this world, and so they create a temple for him over the most vast of the cave entrances (there was more than one suicide while building lolololol). Because Lyrin is such a depressive, lonely moody fuck, he's kinda.....infected the whole forest? Like i can even imagine there are huge casms in the caves where the roots of the trees have leaked through and then because Lyrin indirectly channels so much magical power through him because of his vision, the whole system (especially near the library and his central place of.....hiding, lol) would really loose a grip on the matter of physics and matrial laws. Like, streams of water running uphill in places and the roots of trees branching off into whole, underground canopy-like forests (there would probably be more than one species of lizard and mudfish etc down there, but only quiet animals, otherwise Lyrin would have a habit of killing them out of frustration and his OCD obsession with repetition)

But he would have one place he hides the most, and this place would slowly transform into a library. I associate each of the Wymans with an animal, and Lyrins' is...i want to say cyote, or orca...I don't know exactly, something prone to being on its lonesome and comfortable in the dark. Similar to the idea to The Last Airbender's Wong Shi Tong and the fox helpers, I like to think that Lyrin inadvertantly gets a certain species of animal to gather books for him. I'll think about this more later. I just know that Lyras' is a fawn, and Lysanders' is a dog (a mut variety to my mind, but I might have to decide on a breed for this story)

This might even tie into folklore, and might become a custom in some places/the cities or villages near his forest. Leaving books out for the animals to collect, having a library system established just because of this. However despite this conquest for knowledge, I like to think that Lyrin's continent is not as technologically advanced as one might think.

For one: Lyrin does not actually give much of a fuck about anyone but himself and the people that go into his forest have a habit of feeling so depressed they commit suicide (this becomes a common place to exile people after committing a crime/sin) but he also has little to no influence over their development. And because Lyra hangs around so often to check up on her brother, the people might, if anything else, just be eerily calm. (I think having a forest that makes you want to kill yourself and is the place to ship off baddies would probably keep you fairly moral lololol)

ALSO WINIFRED, i thought about her City.

So Winnifred would basically hole herself away as well, keeping far, far, far from the others to hide away from familiar faces and the reminder of her heartbreak and her selfishness and all the bitter, horrible memories of her mental state and the shit she went through before.

Her City starts off as a small Temple between to major bodies of water (not a delta i think, but possibly just, two lakes, that ended up with a seperation of land between them). The bodies of water thing ties into the 'Fortress' Idea that came with her city-- as it is possibly the most heavily fortified and strong City in the new world.

Winnifred built walla all around her, keeping everything she found to herself. This, eventually, applied even to the people when they started to build in her land. From this first temple, the city grew. (I am thinking something cylindrical, kinda like the White City from lord of the rings, or even Omashu. The circular pattern is a common occurnce and works for this idea) and eventually panned upwards and outwards from this point of origin.

The city operates in levels, rings, top to bottom, with the richest and most upperclass obviously being at the topmost point. Winnifred likes being worshipped, so the topmost layer (or the topmist layerS which might, for all intents and purposes just be called THE UPPER RING or whateverthefuck) woud be reserved for holy worshippers/holy people/religious whatnot pretaining to her. There would probably also be some stuff for the other Gods but they would not be allowed in the topmost layers and would more than likely be brought by other travelers in the bottom rings.

But pretty much after so long a time, or whatever, Winnifred would bury herself deeper into the heart of her city as it grew around her like a cuccoon (oh hey IS THIS FEELING OF ESCAPISM COMING ACROSS TO ANYONE YET???) And I think eventually she, and only a few people would live down there??? Like, living in the heart of the city is basically your life, and some holy people would just send down supplies or some new babies once in awhile cause you gotta have new genetic material sometimes man you can't have incest all up in your shit all the time. Also babies cause the whole idea is that your whole life would be dedicated to 'The Goddess' and as such you were granted a fabulous afterlife and all the upperclass/rich as fuck citizens of this city are convinced they served her in a previous life (this city would have the most oriental belief structure???)

This is all subject to change it is kinda just coming to me as i go.
