I'm having mixed feelings about what I've been seeing at cons lately. There are so many crafters these days making cosplay bits, cheap buttons, accessories, and random crafts with anime tie-ins that I'm starting to feel crowded out as an illustrator. As I mentioned over the weekend, Anime Iowa was insanely busy! I can't say it wasn't expected. I'm always working all through a con, but it seemed we had an idea location, several people coming by to talk, and a metric fuckton of commission orders.
