Great Ocean Road - Apollo Bay to Port Fairy
Lots more driving along pretty coastline - the beaches gave way to stunning rocky cliffs. We stopped off at the 12 apostles and the helicopters were flying again, so we flew over lots of amazing coastline. It was a diddy little 4 seater helicopter - the pilot and me in front, Iain in the back, and that was it. It was absolutely breathtaking - so beautiful, and really exciting to be in a helicopter!
At one point we saw a bunch of cars pulled over by side of the road, but for no apparent reason. So we pulled over and joined them to find out what was going on. Looking up into the trees we could see koalas, munching away on the eucalyptus. They are very very cute, and they happily sat there nomming away as we all pointed and photo'd!
We arrived into Port Fairy as the sun was setting - it's a lovely little town. We were staying in an awesome hotel - massive room, with a double shower, and the hotel even had its own boat parking! We would never have dreamed of looking at booking somewhere so sumptuous, so kudos to Sophie at Trailfinders for booking some great places for us!
