Apollo Bay

We spent another day in Apollo Bay - went to see the 12 apostles and some very pretty scenery - the limestone cliffs are being eroded by the sea, leaving big chunks of pretty rocks along the shoreline. It was too windy to take a helicopter to see the rocks from the air, so we decided to come back tomorrow and try again :(

We visited a very cool tree-top walk in the temperate rainforest - they had built platforms on massive stilts so you could walk up into the various layers of forest. The trees are massive - about 50m tall!

On the way home we were driving along a quiet road at dusk when a big black kangaroo hopped across in front of us - it was lovely :)

The drive back up to the apartment was pretty terrifying again, especially as we had now seen the big drops off the side of the road in daylight! However, when we got back, we lit the open fire, and drank a delicious bottle of New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc - it was awesome :D
