Bad day and unrelated updates
For the past few months I've been on the job hunt. I came across two companies that looked like they would be awesome to work for and were interested in hiring me. I lost both positions becuase my salary requirments are too high. I'm getting really bummed out by it too. It's not that I wont lower my salary requirment its that I can't. I have the debt more under control than I ever have before but the month to month costs are still high enough that I need the higher rate. And while the timeshare sale will put a dent in the long term debt there is no way for me to apply the money against any one money drain enough that I can lower my salary requirements. I still hate working for IGI but I can't leave either. Add to it that the lease is almost up so Hentai and I have to find a new place to live or suffer through another year with no privacy and little piece of mind at the current place.
Hentai and I had our 3rd year anniversary last week. It was a Wednesday so the various activities associated with celebration have been dragged out somewhat but they have been fun. And tomorrow we celebrate Hentai's 30th b-day (though it technically isn't until Monday.
My major issue today is that one of my co-workers was working on a Halloween potluck for today but apperently didn't actually confirm it with anyone else. She just assumed I'd take over the planning and announcing when she told me about it. As a result, I'm the only one dressed up and the spaghetti I made is largley being ignored over the Popeyes Chicken that the boss ordered since he usually buys that for us on Friday's anyway.
