I finally have my house back and with that I melted into a deep sleep that would last me 24 hours. When I first agreed to take care of my mother after he surgery, I was sure I was prepared. I mean, how hard could it be to take care of someone after a major surgery who is hopped up on pain killers and sleep aids? I imagined that I would get her ( Read more... )

I absolutely HATE driving into Riverside now that I moved away from there but for the past few weeks I have had no other choice. All my mum's doctors appointments and her surgery were all preformed there. I knew I would be so relieved to pick her up from the hospital and bring her up to my house for a week or 2 during her recovery ( Read more... )

Today should be my mum's LAST appointment with the doctors before her surgery on Nov.11th. I feel like I have now become a pro at these appointments since many of them cover the same pre-surgery information. I had been thinking about my mum's breast cancer. There are days that she seems to accept it and know that we will take care of it and move on with life... and there are other days that she seems seriously depressed.
