It's the local economy, stupid

OK, done my taxes, hopefully arranged for some more housecleaning for Friday (although some of the places I called haven't gotten back to me), and took fifteen minutes to spam my CV all over Perth.

Apart from the local employment figures, this result is because I don't just confine myself to trawling the job boards and tossing a resumé at things I think I might me able to do. It's a lot faster and easier to use Google to strip email addresses from local recruitment websites, pull the one that looks best for each site, collate the results, and BCC about two dozen places with a single email. That way, it goes semi-directly to the people who do the matching, and the ones with the fastest responses can fight it out.
