More on work
Oh, update on the work situation - despite the Distant Boss assuring me that he would OK my contract changes, he hasn't. Colour me surprised. So I'm still on my original contract, which is a higher rate of pay and I get to keep all my IP.
Of course, I don't get paid for public holidays, etc, but there aren't any more of those for a couple of months. And thank you SO much to the company for waiting until after the public-holiday-heavy end of the year to offer me paid holidays.
Motto for dealing with this lot: Take what you can; give nothing back.
The real question is whether I want to spend my time monkeying up the fossilised management structure and chopping a comfy lair out of the creaking monolith.
