Bored between classes I used some crayola sculpture foam-like kidstuff and made a very crude Barad-dur. Because the material is so springy there's little room for detail (plus that image is actual size!), but I figure maybe with some paint, bits of metal, and continued sculpting via a subtractive method with an x-acto knife I can get something ( Read more... )

Watching Return I kept an eye out for my orc, the one wearing the Gondorian breastplate. Instead I noticed that Gorbag, the especially shifty looking orc that picks up "not dead" Frodo after Shelob's had her way with him, is wearing at least one Gondorian epauliere (the armor over the shoulder...
