much and nothing
Thanksgiving was not as bad as it has been some years (my sister invited a friend so she had to restrain her psychotic tendencies a little!), and the food was amazing.
Missed the most recent SPN because I'm a goober. Last week's was another super good one!
Deadwood Season 3 is really shaping up! I am loving Ellsworth more with every episode. Loving Mrs. Bullock, too. HATING HEARST. OMG. Eagerly awaiting the arrival of Wyatt Earp! And am absolutely bummed about the doc being ill. NOOOO!
We finally started season 6 of X-Files! The first ep was good in some ways, meh in others, and I remembered that as it gets further along the alien mythology eps become less interesting and more convoluted. But it was good to see Gibson again, the stand-alones have been entertaining!
Sent the vet another set of photos, which were taken *before* Brandy spazzed at Sally, kicked a wooden board and then proceeded to throw a tantrum (for my benefit, actually), running around farting and kicking and bucking and coming off all fours like a lipizzan, successfully detaching her hoof A LOT. Anyway, vet says just to nip it away and put the shoe on. And that we'll have about a year's worth of shoeing on the back feet. V____V
The Captain, in love with the aussie poleys, has bought an aussie saddle for herself, although a more economical version. For me, since the billets on the saddle are more than 1/2" thick and so hard to buckle (seriously!) I'm going over to a western rigged surcingle.
There are so many movies I'd like to see right now! But I don't see an opening for it.
