I got my saddle! It is so awesome! It is gorgeous! Even more than I thought it would be. And it fits the horse! And it fits me! And even though I haven't gotten to ride in it long, I think it's safe to say I am definitely an Aussie convert! Not only is it comfy but I felt so secure. I rode without stirrups because I was in a hurry and didn't want to bother sizing them, and I felt just as secure as if I'd been using them. The only time I missed having them is when it came time to dismount. That high cantle is a bitch to swing over without something to stand in.

SO EXCITED!

I got my boots, too. (I sent back the other pair, M, and got a size larger.) CHRISTMAS FOR MEEE! ^ ^

Also, I made cookies! Iced pumpkin cookies from this recipe. They are delicious but sooooo spicy. Really very. If I make them again I will either halve the amount of nutmeg and cloves, or leave the cloves out entirely. (Also, if you make them, when it says "flatten them out a little", flatten them out a little more. They will come out pretty much exactly the shape they go in, just fatter, and you don't want them too thick, because the icing is really the only sweetness to them.)
