A/N: He stares at her, “Yeah. Keep your paws off him.”
Tigh steps into the tent he shared with Caprica and his son, expecting his son’s mother to be there. Instead there was his former wife standing above the crib, “Step away from my son.” He says under his breath. Of course he loves this woman, he’s had many previous lives with her. Something about her return didn’t settle nicely with him.
Ellen glances over her shoulder, “She was able to give you a son.”
He stares at her, “Yeah. Keep your paws off him.”
“He was supposed to be ours, Saul. Our baby boy.”
“That never came-”
“Yes it did. That’s why we made them. The Ones and the Sevens. They were our special boys.”
“What the frak-” Tigh shakes his head, “They are not our children. They were never our children.”
“You need to stop thinking of them as the enemy. John turned out evil. We had no control over that. The Fives are also a little off…the others…they are our children, Saul.”
“You’re off your frakking rocker.” He grumbles, moving to the crib and pulling his baby son into his arms, “He’s mine, Ellen. He’s not yours-”
“Biologically he is.” She smirks, “Remember why Six was made? She was a younger version of myself…a gift to you because I knew your eye was beginning to wander and I feared losing you to another woman. She is me. She is part of me. I made sure of it.” Ellen chuckles a little, bitterly almost.
“Caprica is his mother. She will always be his mother.” He shakes his head, “Don’t come near my son again.” It wasn’t because he didn’t love her, it was because he feared what Caprica would do if she knew her lover’s ex-wife was attempting to claim her son. Tigh gives Ellen one last sideways look before ducking under the flap.
