Today I get to see the space our research team has been assigned in the Russell St. tower.  Sadly, I will no longer have a private office in the new location.  This will feel slightly like a demotion. Helped house_boi  and bridgetphoto move.  They were well-prepared and the boxes were rated for human strength.  This was good. I will miss them, even though I rarely visited.  I hope to visit them, even if it means taking a bus.

This is the week the misslynx moves, so things are a little tense but also exciting. I'm bruised from my encounter with the windows in her new apartment. As the year draws to a close things implode.  I went to a meeting about a conference I'm organizing where a Very Bad Thing happened that I'm not allowed to talk about yet.  So that conference is all on hold until late January and may come out the other side looking very different ( Read more... )

I misstepped on my ladder and now have a mega shin bruise to remember it by.  On the up side, I have two painted bedrooms, a painted livingroom, and a nearly prepped hall.  The ragging is difficult, because the glaze dries so quickly, but it's looking cool.  I stil have to rag the second bedroom and the livingroom, but the base coat is great.  ( Read more... )

I finished work at 4pm and we went down to the new apartment.  We sanded and washed the two bedrooms.  We did an amazing taping job on what will become our bedroom.  ( speculations on long term decorating )

I can't wait for work to be over today.  mr_pugh and I have washed and cleaned about half the apartment so far.  He got a lot done while I was at work yesterday.  We've washed the walls with tsp and then rinsed them.  We washed windows.  I've patched all the holes in the walls with filler.  Today we sand, wipe, mask off, and paint.  We found some useable ( Read more... )
