RP: Thanksgiving at Ariel's

Summary: Ariel hosts Thanksgiving for her friends.

Ariel had bought everything last weekend, and she took her little turkey out to thaw the other day, and she’d also done the bulk of the baking yesterday evening when she’d gotten home from work. Dinner rolls and cinnamon rolls, just because grandma had always made cinnamon rolls on the holidays. She would send a platter home with Harley and Thad for the next few days.
Turkey was in the oven now, and some of her other stuff in various stages of completion. Brielle had gone to her parents’ for the holiday, so it would be just the three of them, but Ariel didn’t really mind. She did miss her family, and had already called home to wish everyone a happy holiday. It had been the first time she’d talked to her mother in about a year, as horrible that sounded. It made her feel odd, but she was determined to have a good Thanksgiving with her friends, and not worry about things back home.
She putzed around the kitchen a bit more, poking at things that were in progress but not complete yet. A lot of it would have to wait on the rest of the turkey. And for her friends to show up, of course. She hoped they didn’t mind spending it with her.
