Summary: A small but nice Thanksgiving.

Rori would admit she only sort of knew what the hell she was doing. However, she had baked chicken before, and the instructions for turkey seemed pretty much the same, only a lot longer. So she didn’t think she’d really screw that up. It was just about everything else. It wouldn’t be up to par with what her mother and sisters would put on the table, she knew, but hopefully it would at least be tasty and edible.
She hoped.
Ava had luckily come around by mid-morning, and helped her out a bit, so at least nothing was going to be burned. She didn’t want to be humiliated with that, at least. She hoped this would be a nice little gathering of the people most important to her. Her brother, her girlfriend, her best friend and her best friend’s daughter. She was lucky to have them all in her life.
