Caleb's brief break from work last weekend hadn't lasted long. He'd put in long hours all week at Muse with the new show starting up, and he was still trying to straighten things out for the week leading up to Halloween. He felt bad that he didn't have as much time to hang with Josh while he was staying with him, but his friend was busy too, and to be honest it was just good having him around, better than he'd thought even if he knew Josh would probably be heading back to his own place soon. Maybe he'd drag him out to see West Side Story one night. Just to get on his nerves.
It had probably been a bad idea to suggest that Will come over for even more work as their second date-type-whatever, especially since he was quasi-working tomorrow too, meeting the owner of Haunted Tours about collaborating on his haunted theatre project. But Caleb didn't mind working on his house. He liked it, had felt bad that he hadn't had time to do much work on it while he'd been trying to get his business off the ground, and he really wouldn't mind sharing it with Will for a day. He didn't have many visitors for more than a night, not counting Josh. He just hoped Will didn't mind being put to work sanding the floors in his would-be-office. He'd picked up a big lunch of subs and chips and salad and chocolate to sweeten the deal, at least. It wasn't steaks, but Caleb and cooking didn't really mix.
He heard the doorbell ring and jogged downstairs. "Coming," he said, wiping his hands on the front of the khakis he'd paired with a simple tank top. He opened the door and grinned at Will. "Ready to sweat, rich boy?"
