There was a line. He was ecstatic and had to keep telling himself that he needed to wait until 9am. But there was a line and there had been one since he’d gotten up this morning, or rather when he’d gotten out of bed, since he hadn’t really bothered sleeping much at all. He was far too excited. It was Free Comic Book Day, the day that all good and proper geeklings looked forward to all year. It was like Christmas and Easter and your Birthday all rolled into one awesome packed day.
They had some pretty decent deals too. Any graphic novel or trade paperback was 20% off today and then there were deals for figurines, DVDs, posters, all the merchandise was on sale for something. Back issues were about $1 unless you wanted to fill a short box with whatever you could cram in there for about 50$.
So all in all, there was something for everyone and he was just waiting for the time to open the door. He loved today.
