Summary: Ava visits the ranch.
Completion: Incomplete
Rori had said it would be okay to drop by the ranch any time, and Ava hoped that still counted for Mondays. She'd seemed okay with it when Ava had texted earlier, but she could easily have got busy since then, or something. She was visiting Rori at work, after all, even if it was after normal work hours.
Anyway, it was a little silly to worry about it at this point, given she was already heading down Iron Hollow's long drive.
It was just she'd wanted to hang out, and she was trying the impulse thing. Impulses were good to follow; they were healthy--to a point, as long as you weren't putting your entire heart out and making a fool of yourself because you clearly didn't possess the social skills to read a situation properly. She wasn't really looking for a repeat of that. Dropping by for a friendly tour (or whatever) was a little more comfortable to contemplate. Besides, she'd had a ridiculously long day, and spending time with a friend had seemed like a really good idea.
The farm was as out of the way as Rori had described it back when she'd first mentioned it, but she'd enjoyed the drive and the daylight would last a little while longer. She wasn't exactly sure where Rori would be--probably she should've checked--but when she got out of her car, she was mostly content to wander over to a corral that was fencing a couple of horses.
