I was googling around this morning when I ran across this adorable cake:
Even more adorable is
the length this husband went through to bake his wife this birthday cake. It's a bit of an "aww" moment, isn't it? ;)
Tomorrow's my day off but I'm going to work anyway. Overtime. Boo for work, but woo for more money. I can use the extra dough.
Hurrah for having a job where I can work overtime. It was something I missed after I was promoted at my old job, especially with some of the hours I was working by the end of my tenure there. I mean, it's one thing when you're being paid a lot. When you're paid child's change, as I was when I was there, but still expected to put in the hours, it made it really hard to not be bitter about all the free time I had to sacrifice for work. Clearly, more reasons to prefer my current job to my old . . .
After work, some of my co-workers (including H!) and I are going out for dinner and Mamma Mia!. I'm so excited.
I really loved the musical, and I'm looking forward to the movie. H sent me this article of
interviews with the main cast; it left me smiling all afternoon. I can't wait for girls' night out after work tomorrow!
Should be an otherwise low key weekend. Plumber's coming on Saturday morning and that's as exciting as it'll get. Still deciding whether I should go to yoga on Sunday morning. I may just want to laze in bed and read.
Tribute's available for pick-up at the library. Yay.
Speaking of books,
Queen of Babble Gets Hitched gets 'Ick'-ed from me. I'd forgotten how Book 2 ended but was rudely reminded of it on page 1 of Book 3. The last page of Book 3 was just as annoying as its first, so I gave up. I'm going to pretend that Books 2 and 3 don't exist, because I rather liked
Queen of Babble just as it was.
