I have heat again! And I'm feeling all sorts of smart for renewing my insurance this past summer. Even with the deductible that I paid yesterday, I still come in under $25 what I would've had to spend without the insurance and I got weekend service without extra charge. Of course, if nothing had broken down in my home, I would have been out the insurance premium. But if something else breaks down (not that I want it to), I'll really be making my insurance work. Such is the way of the insurance game.
We bought some oranges yesterday and couldn't find them this morning. I know I took them out of the car and brought the into the house. No one knows what happened to them after that though, and I've searched all sorts of places to no avail. I hope they mysteriously turn up in my parents' car. Or they got accidentally trashed. Because it would really suck if they rotted in some hidden hidey-hole. Eep.
It was nice being back in the office for two days. I really do miss my co-workers. Got to catch up with them, have a few laughs, and got quite a bit done in between. Meanwhile, my senior partner has been wanting to talk to me for the past week, and it's made me all sorts of neurotic because of the wording of her emails. Even though I was 98% sure I hadn't done anything to cause complaint or censure, it's the perils of email. So easy to read meaning into text. And when you add in healthy dosages of neuroticism that I seem to possess . . . yeah. Still haven't talked to her (I keep leaving messages), but I've been assured is nothing big. Just projects that need attention and she wants my assistance. I think her sister may have said something to her because I got a more explanatory email last night instead of the, "Actually, we really do need to talk," emails I'd been getting. Heh.
I'm starting to re-pack my suitcase and in doing so noticed that my driver's license was not in my wallet. Huh. This means that I was doing all sorts of driving yesterday without a license! *facepalm* Good thing I didn't get pulled over for anything. Hee. Speaking of packing, just heard the dryer buzzer go off. That means my laundry's done and I should get back to packing . . .
