The Balcony: Danni, Moon

Apr 28, 2005 20:35

[OOC: Continued from HEREMoon smiled at Danni's response to her question, and was relieved at the tangible change in the atmosphere. With Danni suddenly a lot closer to her, and the sound of the rain filling her ears, Moon settled into the conversational silence that had arisen. Her mind was unusually quiet, and it drifted idly until Danni spoke ( Read more... )

Danni had to stop her face from changing expression as Moon mentioned Luke. As much as she wanted to tell Moon about what Luke had done to her it wouldn't be right. Danni was shocked at herself for being so fair to Luke about all this, once upon a time she would have given any chance she could to ruin his life as he had ruined hers. The trouble was, now that she had her opportunity it could involve someone else being caught up in it all, and that someone else was Moon. She didn't deserve to have her opinions made for her, and Danni was certain she wouldn't appreciate it anyway, so she kept quiet, and listened as Moon told her how Alice was a good cook. Danni noticed Moon momentarily pausing the movement of her hand as Danni kissed her shoulder. But then, she saw Moon's hand continue to move, and felt Moon's hand squeeze her own. She wanted to ask if there was anything wrong, but stopped herself before the words had a chance to leave her mouth. She remembered earlier when Moon had panicked, and Danni knew that she didn't have answers as to why that had happened, so more questions would not help. She hoped that if there was anything wrong then Moon would feel she could talk to Danni about it.

Danni felt the need to talk though, not sure if the silence was entirely comfortable. She felt that the more silence there was, the more the unexplainable tension, or electricity would build. "So, what did you think of the wedding, and the hand stamping?" Danni asked, realising that she was now making small talk and wanted to cringe.

There were a few minutes where neither girl spoke, and the only sound was the soft splattering of the rain. Danni's embrace was warm and soothing, and Moon found herself relaxing more ( ... )
