[OOC: Continued from
HEREMoon smiled at Danni's response to her question, and was relieved at the tangible change in the atmosphere. With Danni suddenly a lot closer to her, and the sound of the rain filling her ears, Moon settled into the conversational silence that had arisen. Her mind was unusually quiet, and it drifted idly until Danni spoke

Moon must have read her mind, and asked her if she had eaten, but then before Danni had the chance to reply, Danni had moved closer to the balcony. Danni watched as Moon reached out into the rain and reached out into it, letting the droplets of water splash against her hand. After a slight pause, Danni moved closer to Moon, and stood close behind her. "I.... I didn't really feel like eating anything earlier..." Danni confessed in a gentle voice, so as not to unsettle Moon what with being stood so close behind her, "But I wasn't really feeling so hungry, I'll be okay."
Before Moon had a chance to chastise her for not eating, Danni carried on talking, looking up to the sky, wondering if she might see any lightening, or if perhaps she would hear any thunder. "I love watching storms." Danni said, "especially in the summer when the lighting makes the sky so bright and alive. When I was little I always tried to count how long it took for the thunder to come after a bolt of lighting, just so that I could work out how far away the storm was. The closer it was, the more excited I was, I didn't really think about the consequences of being struck by lightening." Danni said, laughing slightly.
Moving slowly, not really sure that this was the right thing to do or not, Danni gently wrapped both arms around Moon from behind, placing her head to the left of Moon's and gently kissing her shoulder. She still felt there was some risk that Moon would not appreciate this, but Danni just wanted to be close to her. If it was unwanted affection, then so be it.

Moon looked out to the sky again as Danni talked about lightning and thunder. She remembered sitting in a cave sheltering from a great storm while Kavon taught her and Star to work out the distance of the storm. Moon had been a little afraid of storms until then, but Kavon was so calm and respectful of it as he explained it that she stopped minding them so much. Now they just reminded her of the better times she had spent with the Horse Traders.
The sensation of two tentative arms wrapping themselves around her waist nudged Moon back from her reminisces, and her body instinctively leant into Danni's body pressed against her back. Maybe it was just that she was still partially floating in the memory of being with Star and Kavon, but Moon suddenly felt incredibly safe. Her outstretched hand relaxed and she watched her fingers naturally curling in towards her palm, small droplets of rain splashing off her finger joints.
Just as she was bringing her free hand up to Danni's arms, Moon felt the light contact on her shoulder, and she froze momentarily - she couldn't help it. But it passed, and eventually, her hand reached Danni's arm and squeezed it gently.

Danni felt the need to talk though, not sure if the silence was entirely comfortable. She felt that the more silence there was, the more the unexplainable tension, or electricity would build. "So, what did you think of the wedding, and the hand stamping?" Danni asked, realising that she was now making small talk and wanted to cringe.

The silence was finally broken by Danni, her tone of voice bright and flippant, chasing away whatever atmosphere had been surrounding them. Moon felt awkward again.
"Oh, they were very nice," was Moon's reply - perhaps a little too formal and polite - "the decorations were lovely." Moon stopped talking, this was not the conversation she wanted to have - though what she did want, she did not know. All she knew was that it suddenly felt like they were dancing circles around each other. What was going on here?
"Danni, I..." Moon started talking, but without knowing what she was going to say next. She seemed to do that a lot recently, and she faltered. "I'm sorry, it's just that I... um, am tired, it's been a long day, hasn't it?" Moon turned as she spun her tale, slipping gradually out of Danni's embrace. "I think I should go to bed."
Moon started to move away, feeling clumsy and out of place, but she paused, and turned to look at Danni again. "Um... goodnight?" she said, her voice a little unsure.

"I guess it has been a long day." Danni said, realising that she also felt a bit tired. However, if it meant spending time with Moon she would gladly stay up all night. She didn't want the night to end, she wanted to spend more time with Moon, just holding her. She knew like earlier there were baser instincts hidden underneath, but as of yet she didn't know how to respond to them, even if she could. She had no idea what would happen if things ever progressed any further with Moon. However, for now, she just wanted to hold her. But how could she say that? She felt that she would sound so stupid.
"It's a shame the night has to end so early." Danni said, with a sincere smile on her face. "I could walk you back to your room, if you like? No worries if not, I mean I know it's not exactly miles away." She made an uncomfortable joke and regretted it the moment it had passed her lips. It was her defense against rejection though, as she didn't want Moon to think her feelings were hurt if Moon just wanted to be alone.

"Um, sure... if you like?" she mumbled, then felt like an idiot for saying it like that. "I mean, I don't mind." No, that did not make it any better. Moon blushed and went quiet, close to vowing never to speak ever again if all she could do was make a fool of herself. Slowly she turned, and headed back towards the office complex.

Danni knew that perhaps there could still be people around as herself and Moon walked through the office complex, so she tried to remain as relaxed as she could. Acting all tense was only going to give people reason to be suspicious, and if Moon was desperate to keep things quiet, the besta way to behave would be to be completely relaxed and cool with everything, despite the whirlwind that she felt inside.
Before Danni knew it, herself and Moon were outside Moon's room. She had been focusing so hard on being cool and collected that she had not noticed her surroundings at all. Now was probably the moment where she would definately have to say goodnight. she hoped that one day she could spend the night with Moon. Not doing anything in particular, just to hold her as she slept, and just to make sure that Moon was the first thing she saw when she woke up on a morning. Danni knew she was falling for Moon badly, and she felt powerless to stop it, she didn't even think she wanted to.
"Well..." Danni said quietly, feeling awkward as they were still in the open, and not really sure what to do. she wouldn't go in Moon's room without an invite, and she was certain that she wasn't going to get asked in for coffee or anything. "I guess you probably want to be alone now, what with being tired. I think we could all use a good night's sleep."

Soon enough they were stood outside her room, and Moon could sense that Danni was feeling awkward too. All she could do was nod submissively in response to Danni's comments - but she couldn't just leave it that. She hesitated, wondering if she should maybe invite Danni in to her room - but then what? Would they both just sit there feeling awkward and having meaningless conversation?
In the end, Moon took a deep breath, and made to turn into her room, but her feet would not move from the spot where she stood. Despite feeling awkward and confused, Moon was still reluctant to walk away from Danni. She stalled, fiddling with the fabric of her door curtain.
"Thank you again... for this," she said slowly, giving Danni a brief but sincere smile before finally turning away. "Goodnight."
