Prehistoria ~ Variable aphro

The girl shielded her eyes from the sun, hoping to get a better view of the valley. The rock walls rose protectively around the small river she had been following. There was a sufficient amount of vegetation. Some small animals even skittered about. It seemed inviting enough. Food and water.

Best of all, she was able to make out what may have been suitable shelter carved out of one of the stone walls. She may have been able to survive for a short time on her own, but soon changing seasons would be upon her. Surviving without the comfort of her clan would be difficult.

She scrabbled up an incline, gravel loosening under her feet. The cave was small, but more than enough for her. Pushing dark bangs away from her eyes, she peered into the darkness. It looked like the cave had prior residents. Old baskets and broken items lay strewn about. The musk of an animal was strong within as well. Not being a hunter, she was unable to tell how long the area was unattended or what animal that may have sought refuge here.

Deciding that this would be her new home, the girl set about cleaning up a bit. Moving broken bits towards the entrance before moving a bit deeper in to see what may have been left. She knelt on the packed earth with front of her loincloth protecting her knees. A single thick braid of hair was held in place with a leather thong. Her small pouch of belongings, including a small knife, lay lout of reach, near the entrance.

She was completely absorbed in the task of cleaning out her new living quarters. Unaware of who or what may have been lurking outside.

((OOC: Woooow. I haven't posted here in some time. I may be a bit rusty. Feel free to have at poor little Alice. Prior owner? Carnivore? She's too distracted to notice you sneaking up on her.))
