Alph shook out his hand as small embers burnt his fingers again. The idea here was simple enough - following up on Patchouli's offer to teach him some magic, make use of some of the potential he had.
That was the idea. The actuality was that despite large magic reserves, he'd only come into those powers a year ago and had utterly no idea what he was doing. So far all he'd managed to do was burn his hand several times and almost sacrifice his eyebrows, only getting a few tiny licks of flame in the process.
