Wow, I really lost those calluses, didn't I.

After being out of commission for months, my bass has new strings and a properly-adjusted neck. I have celebrated by putting off homework and bar meet-ups, to my friends' amused tolerance, but so far I've got the bones of two newly-learned songs to show for it: "Losing Heart" by Brandi Carlile, and Cat Power's "Metal Heart."

Now to relearn everything I could play in 2008.
