Hot, Hot, Hot ...
The heat has made my life even more horrible. I was originally planning to go out tonight to the Art Museum to see their midnight showing of "Monty Python and the Holy Grail" but with heat indexes over 100 (110+ for much of the day), I just will not be able to make it out to do that. It really sucks because I planned on going as "The Lady of the Lake" and being a watery tart handing out swords in a farcical aquatic ceremony (I had sword picks, a mister, a great costume and was looking forward to the fun). Oh well, maybe next time.
I've basically been on in-house lockdown for the last two days due to the heat. It's not terribly bad but it is annoying when it cuts into my plans and causes me to miss out on things I have really been looking forward to.
Of course, I do have to get out tomorrow because we are going to see (and review) "Church Basement Ladies" at Beef & Boards. It's billed as a Lutheran version of "Nunsense" so it should be really fun (and worth getting out in the oppressive heat to see).
Not too much else going on in my life. I finally managed to get the prescriptions for my heart meds filled. That was a several month long tribunal that showed me that Meijer's pharmacist are not only rude, unprofessional, asshats but a bit criminally suspect. They told me that I had forged one of the prescriptions and the doctor didn't exist even though they had no problem filling the other prescription from the same doctor then tried to charge me double what it was supposed to be. Fuckers!
