Hey everyone! I had intended to post yesterday but I was really feeling ill. I was woozy, tired and achy most all of the day. Partly because I didn't sleep well the night before. I kept waking up because I was hot (even with no covers or anything, I was too hot). Of course the neighbors didn't help either. They were constantly pounding on something between the hours of 5AM & 7AM and it was driving me crazy. I still have no idea what they were doing but I really hope it never happens again.
Anyway, I'm doing better today. Tonight I've got a sneak-preview showing of "Dinner For Schmucks" and I'm really looking forward to it.
As for what's been happening in my life lately, I've been spending a lot more time on my own because
beldar is working alone on a huge 4H section of the paper. Still, we did get to go out Saturday evening and see "Church Basement Ladies" at
Beef & Boards. It was really wonderful. It's being billed as a Lutheran "Nunsense" and it definitely lives up to the bill. The songs are great (my favorites were "The Pale Food Polka" & the tribute to hot flashes, "My Own Private Island") and the script was perfectly balances between witty and tender. It was a really terrific show and you should see it if you have the chance. Although it is selling out quickly even though it's run has been extended. Next year they're doing the sequel and I really can't wait to see that.
Other than this I've been finally watching "Flashforward". We'd watched the first two episodes as they came on but were unable to get around to watching any of the rest of them so pretty much the whole series has just been sitting on the DVR waiting for us to watch it. It's really pretty interesting and Dominic Monaghan is one bad-ass bastard. I hate that they didn't renew the show but it's premise does have a pretty limited story arc date-wise so I can see why they didn't. Of course, the extended break due to the Olympics screwed up the ratings and made it harder for people to follow it so that was a big reason it died as well. Still, I strongly suggest you see it when & if it comes out on DVD.
SO, that's it for me. I will talk to you again soon.
TTFN!
