It had been a bloody awful idea. Maybe Ron hadn't realized it then, when he'd run into Malfoy and the two of them had proceeded to try and knock the piss out of each other, but now, the full weight of what had happened had sunk in.

Truthfully, it was something that had been building for what seemed like ages now, only back home, there was usually someone to hold him back: Harry or his brothers to stop him before he'd gotten too far, Hermione or Ginny to cast looks his way that'd stop him before he'd even raised a fist. Not to mention, the idea of his Mum finding out was enough to keep him from even considering it most of the time. But after he'd found out about Malfoy and Luna, hitting that treacherous git in the face had crossed his mind more than it normally did.

His left eye was nearly swollen shut and bruising, his ribs ached. Most of him ached, come to think of it, but it wasn't as if Malfoy'd gotten away without his own share of battle scars. Though somehow, he was sure that fact wasn't going to get him off any lighter when Hermione and his brother had found out what had happened. Bloody hell, even Harry would likely be angry with him if he ever found out what Ron had said to Luna about it all, even if he hadn't meant it to come out the way it did. Still, he was planning on finding her and apologizing. Just as soon as he stopped feeling like he'd ended up on the wrong end of a stinging hex, that was.

Ron sunk down into a chair in the compound kitchen, mostly trying to decide whether or not he should go to the island's clinic. Times like this, he really missed magic. And healers.

[Set to earlier on the 11th, not long after this, wherein Ron and Draco finally have it out. He's not hurt enough to warrant a trip to the clinic, but it's obvious he's banged up.]
