The baseball field really isn't the destination Meredith had in mind, but that's kind of the point of aimless wandering -- it doesn't really matter where you end up. Spotting Theresa is reason enough to head over anyway, hands in her pockets as she approaches, grinning. "New friend?" she asks, nodding after the man as he goes.

"Unfortunately," Terry replies, keeping a slightly suspicious eye on his back until he's inside. Johnny may be a nice (...well, tolerable) person on his own merit, but put him in front of a pretty woman and he was a horror to deal with.

"That's just Johnny Storm," she explains, going over to pick up the discarded glove. "He's a pain in the arse, but he's on our baseball team."

"On your team?" Meredith echoes, brow raising. "So my team's getting its ass kicked this season." They're not a group she'd want to go up against if she were the least bit invested in this sport, but seeing as how she really doesn't care, it just makes things more fun.

"Rogue's drafted just about all of us," she says, nodding as though she's sorry to say it. Considering her healthy competitive streak, Terry isn't. "So I'd say so, aye."

Passing by the field, Brodie couldn't help but pause when he say Siryn and the Torch tossing around a baseball. It was all so damn strange, the two of them shooting the shit without powers and regular people. Sometimes, he didn't think he'd get used to it all. Next thing, Wolverine would come out of the compound with TANG AND RICE KRISPIE SQUARES for everyone.

"Since when do you guys play CATCH?" He asked the Torch as he jogged in Brodie's general direction.

Johnny looked over, mentally placing Brodie as Jersey Guy. Sometimes a simple descriptor helped to remember someone. Most of the time Johnny didn't care, but this was Rogue's friend, and he was pretty sure he wanted to stay on her good side. "Baseball, dude. We were practicing."

"Yeah, for what?" Brodie asked, trying to figure out what the hell he'd missed. Sure, it'd been a fucked up week, but he was usually pretty on top of this shit.

Johnny stared. He'd just said what he was doing.

"For baseball. You know, the sport? People throw a ball, someone hits it with a bat, then there's running..."

"Well, now, you don't seem to have a fan," Daisy notes as Mister Johnny Storm is coming her way and she's ready to pass right by in the other direction. "What'd you do to her? Were you a very bad boy and were much prettier than her? Women hate that, you know."

[Le Storm!]

"Some love it," Johnny replied, breaking into a grin when he saw Daisy. He tugged his cap off, quickly wiped sweat off his forehead with the back of his arm (and sweating, yeah, that was still weird), and shrugged. "You think I'm pretty, Daisy?"

"Honey, I know exactly how well you think of yourself and the fact that you're well aware just how very pretty you are," she drawls, twirling the parasol she walks with so she doesn't freckle like a common person. "Don't tell me you need me to cheer you up."

"I was just double checking," Johnny said, pleased. He knew there was a reason he liked Daisy.

She's a grown woman and has been since she was about twelve years old. In the line of work that she found herself in there is no room for childhood antics, but the fact that the clothes box keeps giving her Yankees caps must mean something.

Namely that she has to give into the fact she's on the reserve, whether she wants to be or not. Pulling her hair back, she smiles at Johnny from the steps of the Compound as he comes in her direction. "I'm pretty certain Terry would win in a fight," she points out.

"Pretty sure she could, too," Johnny said, mostly because he was sure she could probably hear them. He'd always been of the opinion that not getting women to hit you was the best way to go about life. "Hey, Jean."

"At least we're all in agreement," she says tugging the hat down. Lifting her head up so that she can actually she see who she's talking to, she gives Terry a wave in the distance. "Hey Johnny. I hope you're not giving up so soon."

"Just taking a break," Johnny explained. He grinned when he noticed her cap, and pushed his a little bit off his forehead. "Gotten into the baseball frame of mind yet?"

Dressed in a cool yellow t-shirt and shorts, Coraline was wandering around the island looking for something to do. She was bored. B-O-R-E-D, Bored. Adam was doing boring Adam things and everyone else was in love and making smooshy noises and yuck, kissing. It was so gross. No one wanted to have fun anymore.

Jumping into an imaginary puddle with her Spiderman wellington boots on, Coraline tried to smile as she kicked dust up into the air.

"It'd be better if it was raining or if there were zombies or killer robots or even evil other people to defeat. Instead there's just you Cat," Coraline said looking at the haughty black cat who was following her. Coraline grinned hopefully at the man approaching her. "Oh, and you. Please, tell me you're a mad scientist come to take over the island with your evil, mind swapping technology. Then I can defeat you and not be bored."

[OOC: Why do I have to choose? They're both awesome! Johnny]

Normally, kids were easily ignored. Normally, Johnny might have brushed her off when she approached him asking if he was a mad scientist. Normally, kids didn't have an incredibly weird sense of fashion. Thing and Spider-Man? Come on.

"I'm a good guy," he told her, an eyebrow rising as he looked her over. "Sorry."

"Really? A good guy like a hero or a good guy like, mmm a normal person. Are you sure? I mean, you could be a villain and not know it," Coraline said hopefully. He didn't have button eyes so he couldn't be working for the Other Mother but there were all sorts of villains and bad guys he could be. Like that fat man who liked to bowl... Kingpin! Or maybe even Mole Man or something. Except he looked much nicer than how she imagined him. And he was less dirty. "No, I guess not you look too nice. I'm so bored there are no villains to defeat or adventures to have. Well, no adventures if you don't want to be grounded for the rest of the month."
