I was thinking it did look a tad complicated and overwhelming, but only the text part really. I figure when I do it for the first time I'll have to clear out a space where the computer faces (the chair) so that I can see the computer screen. Its easier for me to learn from seeing, so the pictures are mainly what I'd be looking at. I think once I get going I'll be able to memorize the breathing, and maybe eventually the actual poses. I'd want to do it a few times on my own to get the hang of it, I think, before I did it with you, since I'm so self-consious, lol
( ... )
Don't worry about memorizing the breathing. Basically, just do one breath per pose. If there's one you want to hold, do three breaths.
It's okay if your ins and outs don't match with the ones in this thing... because usually you breathe out for down-dog and I have it the other way around just because that's the way that it ended up, hehe.
It does feel good to breathe in or out on certain poses, like breathing in on back extention feels really nice.
You don't have to worry about doing it with me. :-) If you are not ready to do that, I can just show you the poses some time so you will know what they all look like, since not all of them had pictures.
I also see that my "cat" pose has an image for "cow" pose... so I'm going to go fix that now. :-) Cat should be arching the back, like when a cat stretches.
I did it! Just now! Hehehehehehehehehehehehhehehehehe and if I say so myself, I did a mighty fine job! Hehehehehehe and I feel rejuvinated but I'm not dying. I think I can handle this. :)
Corpse pose is one of the most important. Resting after, and focusing on relaxing and the energy flow through your body is really essential. You can look for any blockages in that flow, but also it really rejuvinates you. It's also supposed to be somewhat meditative to quiet your mind. Most teachers say you should always end with corpse pose. The rest of the routine is much more body-focused, although it does help energy flow, but the corpse pose is the most mind-focused pose. I also think that mountain and child are really good for the mind too, but not as much as corpse.
I will try to make some changes here. Not being able to bend over just like the guy in forward fold is okay though... because I can't even tough my toes, and I have not seen any "normal" people be able to touch their head down like that, even my yoga instructor. She can bend over a lot, but not that far! :-)
Mkay good to know. This is extremely goofy but I have to ask just to hear what you think: Do you think the reason why your hamstrings are so tight is b/c your legs are long, so when you bend over its harder to reach since you have to reach so far down? Ha ha ha goofy, huh? But I wonder if that's how it works...or if the hamstrings actually grow according to the lengh of your leg, or what...ha ha. I was thinking..how can't she when she's so thin, but I can and I'm so fat? But I am very short...short legs, short arms..so maybe height has to do with it? Or not? I'm a goof. :D
Yeah, i think that has something to do with it, but I don't know. Of course, my feet are also a bit further away from my hips than yours are, so it's harder for me to reach them

This looks DAMN good! You are so awesome!!!!!!! I had no idea so many of them could be done with a chair! I can't even tell you how convenient that is for me! HA ha ha...but yeah shit yeah!
The only reason it took me so long to look at this again is b/c I was having a Zoloft withdrawl there for a few days. That's over now thankfully. God it sucked! Anyway wow...this looks great! I need to check into that music you told me about too, I promise I didn't forget!
Oh I have no doubt that they will just fine. I'm more likely to do them since I won't be getting up from the floor several times. I mean, I could do that, but you know what I'm saying. :)
And I just sent that link to my friend Angi. I kept forgetting to tell her your husband also has Firbo. She's had it for a long time. You'll all probably have a lot in common. She doesn't have an LJ though..so lol.
I just had a thought... if the Warrior poses are too hard for you (they are so hard fo rme!), you can do them on a chair too, although I don't think I'd be able to find a picture.... Of course, the chair would just be for extra support, so that you can gain strength as you go, so you can't like sit on it all the way or anything. Man, sometimes I wish though.... my leg wants to just hurry up and die from the pain of holding the pose.. LOL But, it feels good after I'm all done, and I am gaining strength so fast, it's amazing. That's one thing I love about yoga, I am gaining strength and flexibility far faster than weights and stretching ever did it! (Sorry if I've already said that before, hehe, I am a bit forgetful)

Once you get good at this one and it becomes easy, don't worry, I can come up with plenty of more difficult ones. ;-)
