Why did it always have to be on the nicest of afternoons that royal paperwork seemed to pile up?
That probably wasn't true, but it certainly felt that way to the Seyruun princess. Casting a glance to the side, she looked through the tall, elegantly framed windows of the palace library, which overlooked the castle grounds, leading out towards the gates and thus the city itself. Everything was gleaming in the late day sun, and even at that moment she could hear the chime of the clock tower in the distance. The day was passing quickly, and where was she? Stuck indoors looking through documents of course.
Sighing heavily, Amelia turned her head towards the vast aisles of bookcases, each one stacked to the ceiling with texts of every possible sort imaginable. It wasn't as if she disliked the place, far from it. However, it didn't change the fact that she was being forced to spend her time looking through endless pages of new law proposals, tax amendments, civil petitions, every sort of form one could think of, and right now it was boring her senseless. She rarely ever complained about her duties, and even when she didn't like them, she could understand the necessity and get on with the work. Today, she wasn't sure what was wrong with her. Was it simply because it was a nice day, the fact that there were other plans she wanted to make before being dragged off by a council member? Perhaps it was a bit of both, mixed in with the fact that, for some reason, she felt a lot more warm and uncomfortable in her formal wear than usual.
Still, at the very least she was able get out of the stuffy office and work some place a little more serene and welcoming. If she was lucky, maybe she would even find some company to take the edge off her boredom. After all, the royal library was very spacious, no one would notice if she chose to strike up conversation, as long as she didn't draw too much attention. Granted, that was hard task for Amelia at the best of times on it's own, but not impossible. She could hope, right?
[ooc: Feel free to come up with any reason your character is in the library, and any level of familiarity they may have with Amelia. Men and women are both fine; castmates, previous encounters and new folk are all welcome for CR or eventual smut. Just be aware new people are going to have to work a little harder to get her to have sex where there is a risk of getting caught, but it's not impossible. Also, if you want there to be specific mentions of people such as royal advisors, or worse Amelia's dad, wandering by in the midst of things and forcing the two of you to be quieter, let me know. Apart from bathroom/gore/death related things, I'm good with most kinks, but just PM me if you're not sure.~]
