A 5-Star Restaurant | Waitressing | {Mild Aphro}

It seemed that once more, Amelia's better judgement had taken a backseat to her urge to assist people. Just her luck really, that she happened to witness someone being harassed as she passed the restaurant, apparently unable to pay their bill and looking rather terrified of what the staff might do to even things out. Unable to keep herself out of ( Read more... )

Amelia wasn't the only one who had to work off debts; Sayaka Miki also had her own shares to repay and to do so she was working the same shift, but they hadn't exactly crossed paths at first.

Today however was different, as the blue-haired girl noticed a certain waitress coming into the backroom to finish up her shift. Sayaka was just finishing with her own.

"Hey...! You've gotta pay off some debts too, right?"

Amelia had only just punched her clock card to show she was done for the day when she heard the voice from behind her. Turning her head, she blinked at the other girl before offering a small smile. She recognised Sayaka, having passed her a few times while working, but they hadn't formally spoken to each other.

"Well, yes and no. I paid off someone else's, this job is just to earn back some of my money." she explained.

Sayaka nodded herself, smiling lightly while listening intently.

"How much did you plan on earning back? I'm Sayaka Miki; nice to meet you!"

"As much as I can, though as long as get back enough to get by, I should be fine." she replied, fully turning around to formally greet her co-worker. "Nice to meet you too Miss Sakaya. I'm Amelia Wil Tesla Seyruun."

"I'm sure you'll do fine, Amelia!" she smiled broadly at Amelia while putting her clock card away. "I save most of what I earn for my debts but some of it, I put away for special occasions.

"Since we're done for the day, wanna hang out and get to know each other better?"

"Thanks for the vote of confidence. Are you saving for anything in particular right now Miss Sayaka?" she asked, moving to the coat pegs to grab her jacket. She paused at the offer, before grinning back, clearly happy with the idea.

"Alright, sounds good to me. Do you want to go somewhere, or stick around here and get a bite to eat?" she asked. Even though she had taken a break today, it had been a quick one, so she hadn't really eaten a proper meal since before work that morning.

"Of course! We all need to believe in ourselves during times like these." Sayaka grabbed her own jacket, clearly thinking about Amelia's question before responding. "Probably something that reminds me of my dreams.

"Either one could work, but going somewhere might be better." She'd seen a few other restaurants, not as extravagant as this one, on her way to work that morning.

"Very true!" Amelia beamed back as they walked towards the exit, looking a little suprised at the other girl's response. "Your dreams?"

Giving another nod, she held the staff door open for Sayaka, allowing them both slip outside and head down the street to find somewhere to eat. "Are you partial ro finding some particular place? Because really, right now I could eat just about anything." she laughed.

Sayaka's response might be very familiar to Amelia, a confident look appearing in her eyes and on her face. "To be a hero of justice and protect those who can't protect themselves!"

She laughed herself, shaking her head while walking alongside Amelia. "Anyplace can do, honestly. At least we'd be spending time together, right?"

The princess nearly stumbled over her own feet in surprise. This was a rarity, finding someone who shared her aspirations. Her eyes suddenly started to sparkle with giddiness, expression ecstatic. "That is a wonderful dream to aim for Miss Sayaka! It's one I share, to spread justice to everyone in this world!"

Tapping her chin a moment, she glanced around before pointing at a cafe on the street corner. It looked nice, and not too pricey. Plus it was fairly quiet by the looks of things, meaning they could talk with ease while eating. "Then how about that place?"

"Really?" Sayaka's own grin widened in amazement, pretty giddy herself in her actions. "Maybe we could spread justice around the world together, Amelia!"

She looked over where Amelia pointed toward the cafe and gave it a once-over before nodding. "Sure!"

"That sounds like a wonderful idea!" Amelia beamed back happily. Glancing back over at the selected cafe, she followed impulse and took the other girl's hand, gesturing her to follow as they headed inside, intending to further discuss acts of justice with her companion.

Once inside, the princess led Sayaka to a quiet corner booth, moving along the soft leather seat to make room for her co-worker, passing her a menu as she spoke. "So, what inspired you to become a Hero of Justice Miss Sayaka?"

Checking out the menu with mild interest, Sayaka's attention was mainly focused on Amelia as she replied. "I was always interested in stories when I was younger-good triumphing over evil, those who did wrong would be brought to justice."

"Well I'm sure you'll succeed in living out such stories yourself. You clearly have a heart made to do justice in the world." she smiled broadly at Sayaka. "You're planning on using your savings to help you with that?"

"Mn!" Sayaka nodded, smiling broadly at Amelia. "I'll need to train first, but once I get the basics down it should go smoothly from there; training, being a Hero of Justice might take longer. What about you, Amelia?"

Nodding in understanding, Amelia settled back a little in her seat, hands resting on the table. "Well, my daddy has been training me since I was young to pursue justice anyway I can, and I've spent a lot of time the last few years traveling with friends, overcoming villains, so hopefully I'm working my way up to being a champion of justice."
