It seemed that once more, Amelia's better judgement had taken a backseat to her urge to assist people. Just her luck really, that she happened to witness someone being harassed as she passed the restaurant, apparently unable to pay their bill and looking rather terrified of what the staff might do to even things out. Unable to keep herself out of the matter, she had settled the cost. It was no big deal, after all she had done it enough at home when Lina wanted to splurge on things. Unfortunately, unlike at home, she couldn't simply call on the Seyruun treasury to balance the books, and now found herself rather strapped for cash. Taking note of her depressed sighs, one of the managers offered her a lifeline; to work for them until she could make up for her lost funds.
So there she was, in uniform, bustling back and forth between tables, taking and delivering meals, all with her usual cheery demeanour and natural smile. Despite her more rash behaviour, she was royalty, and knew exactly how to speak and move properly, in order to maintain the strict and uptown image of the establishment. So far, everything had gone smoothly, and she had managed to build a friendly routine with regular customers as well as other members of staff.
For a hotel setting, this seemed a lot safer than the last place she had ended up accidentally working in. The restaurant was a fairly proper place, and there surely wasn't anything provocative about waiting on tables. Admittedly she had to wonder about what some of the other staff were talking about when they referred to being paid extra for 'overtime' in such hushed tones, but she dismissed that for the moment. She had to keep focus on the task at hand, fairly sure an explanation would be told to her eventually. For now, it was back to work.
