yeah, after seeing some gifs of last night’s supernatural, I will not be watching it.

fuck you, spn writers, for your continual assassination of a character I love, and retconning of abuse into what was, in the early seasons, a fucked up but loving family dynamic.

seriously, fuck you.

haha I AM SO TORN MEL. But they didn't out right say he was abusive or anything. They made him, from Dean's POV, a stone cold hard ass, but again: is this really news? And also shamefully of course I was hoping he actually WOULD beat Dean because I am a pervert. but uh, I digress.

THE REAL SHAME IS THE FACT THAT THEY MADE 16-YO DEAN'S EYES BROWN. Did they really think that they could get away with that???

I think it was Sam's POV in which John looked like a hard ass, not Dean's. Dean seemed to think John was completely reasonable.

Sam was all 'He left you here for TWO MONTHS?!' and Dean was all 'Duh, I LOST OUR MONEY. His hands were tied, dude'.

As you say, par for the course :)

Yeah, you know the more I think about this ep, the more it hurts my feelings. So much doesn't add up. Why was Dean gambling? How is saying, "Sammy, I lost Dean on a hunt" better than "I left your brother in juvie to teach him a lesson???" Sam wouldn't have been scarred for life ( ... )

Yeah, the whole thing would have made a lot more sense if Dean was 14. Plus, lots of other stuff wrong, blah blah... mostly I was just happy to have something that didn't suck as much as the rest of this sucktastic season :P Plus, I really had fun watching it. It felt so much like classic SPN, I had this goofy smile the whole time.

lol from your thread, I'm glad I gave it a miss. and that's what grabbed me first, I was like, wait, that kid is supposed to be Dean? thafuck? I haven't seen any screencaps of the kid that was Sammy in the ep so idk but casting fail ( ... )
