This week has really stretched me to my physical limits of exhaustion, since I've decided that I'm too good to go to bed at a normal time, and I can stay up reeeeally late. Actually since today was my day off, it's the first day I've had that "I don't feel like a zombie" kind of thing going on. 'Course it's totally past my bedtime now so I feel pretty tired, natchurally.
I worked my butt off to make this Valentine's Day special, and in the end I acheaved pretty much exactly what I had thought would happen. I had figured it would probably go one way, and it did, and in the end that result was adequite, though nothing spectacular. I'm not dissapointed or enthused, just not surprised. Which kind of sucks in and of itself, since I like to be surprised. It was worth the effort put out front, I can say that. Kind of makes up for the last few botched Valentines, where I don't think I really did much of anything. I don't remember putting in alot of effort, and I always remember how bad that made me feel. I never regret the things I've done, I regret missed opportunities... where I should have done something and I didn't.
Though I did apparently miss a great hockey game. Yeash...
I used the day to reconnect with family, and even replaced my car's sterio which got stolen a couple weeks ago. I was pretty excited, and got everything working... until I bolted it down and now no music will go through it. Sound works fine, just no CD or radio music... I'll have to take it back I guess. I fiddled with it, and so did Tim, but neither of us could get it to work. Unfortunate.
The Young Adult group all went to Castle Fun Park tonight, and we had alot of fun. There was 14 of us, which is a pretty big crowd, including the candidating pastor, Jeff and his wife Beth. They were nice, and I think we all got along really good. We played mini golf, and despite all my talk, I still stunk up the joint pretty bad. Didn't help that the guys I was golfing with actually golf.
After getting my 5-iron handed to me, we went on to play some video games, and even though I couldn't convince anyone to DDR with me, I did get to whoop Tim at some Street Fighter, which made up for it. Then I got my golpher handed to me at Whack A Mole, and we called it a night. Had some fun, some good talks, but back to reality tomorrow.
