All of our computers at work are Dell. Occasionally, I find myself in epic email exchanges with our Dell rep trying to hammer out a spec for a new computer. Today was one of those days . . . it's laptop season. I looked at the stock quotes to see what improvements I'd have to request. I wasn't the least bit surprised to see that both laptop quotes were for wide-screen models. When I was scoping out my
current desk display, the rep tried to convince me that wide screens were superior, but his justifications didn't sway me. I reiterated that when I wrote him today, going so far as to say I'd had to buy an HP laptop to get a 4:3 screen and an AMD processor for personal use. He didn't appreciate that. He said it "really hurt to hear" that I'd gone with an HP. He got back at me, though. He told me Dell no longer makes 4:3 laptops.
Nooooooooooooooooo!
