Blue State Equivalent of Red Meat?

I got pretty fired up listening to Keith Olbermann's editorial at the end of his show on Wednesday. In it, he took Bush to task for suspending habeas corpus. Although not played for comedy, this was the punchline:Did it ever occur to you once that in just 27 months and two days from now when you leave office, some irresponsible future president and a “competent tribunal” of lackeys would be entitled, by the actions of your own hand, to declare the status of “unlawful enemy combatant” for-and convene a Military Commission to try-not John Walker Lindh, but George Walker Bush?
Olbermann's delivery was exquisite, and I enjoy his phraseology. Even though I was alone, I found myself laughing out loud and clapping. This, I realized, must be the Democratic equivalent of the "red meat" that Republican politicos feed their base. But what to call it? Blue meat sounds spoiled, and bleu cheese sounds too elitist. Suggestions?
