She'd tried to sleep, curled up in her blanket nest and warm, but she couldn't get her brain to settle down enough. Things were just so complicated, and getting more so the longer Ratchet kept hiding from everyone. Things were so... she didn't know what, but that's what things were. She hadn't missed all the times Swoop looked toward Ratchet's room sadly or the anger and disapproval Prowl had shot toward him when Ratchet and Bluestreak had come back down to the party. She certainly hadn't missed the fact that Ratchet hadn't come to see her or even tried to talk with her for... ages. Not since he'd almost died

*halting his motions and staring at his reflection in the overly shiny surface of the bench, he glanced over his shoulder at the voice and quirked an optic ridge*
Mm, it does have its charms, yes.
*throwing her a smirk, he beckons, Sari closer. Putting aside his well used cleaning cloth, he makes her a warm drink and offers it while finding her a blanket. The cold weather wasn't something that bothered him too much while inside but he knew that the medbay wasn't too warm for Sari at the moment*
Why are you up? I thought you'd be sleeping by now. *he tilts his helm with a warm smile, already knowing the answer to his question* Is everything alright?
*Coming down the stairs, the gunner slowed his steps at the sound of voices down below in the kitchen, listening cautiously as he continued his descent in slow, measured steps. When he decided that Prowl and Sari were safe enough to peek in on without it being a private conversation, he hopped the last few steps, only to stumble on the bottom stair and catch himself on the wall.*
Oomph! Aheh...
*Small, sheepish smile towards the pair, doors tucked slightly downward in embarrassment.*
Good morning, Prowl. Morning, Sari. Ehm... how was the party...? I'm sorry I didn't stay to help clean up but Ratchet was already asleep and... well if you want, I can take cleaning duty for the next couple of cycles to make up for it...?
*helm snaps up at the sudden chaotic interruption his smile vanishing from his face. He relaxes when he sees Bluestreak and dips his helm slightly in greeting*
Good morning, Bluestreak, I trust you rested well? *keeps his tone measured and polite not wanting to upset Sari with any misgivings he had about the previous night* and how is Ratchet this morning? Will he be joining us today?
*glances about the spotless medbay*
I think the cleaning is fine for a while unless we get some activity, though with the weather getting more treacherous I do hope 'bots are staying indoors *offered Bluestreak a small smile and a seat to join them*
*Glances around the, indeed, spotless kitchen. Primus it was like Grapple had been through here... Doors drooping a little lopsidedly, he nods and moves forward to sit when invited*
I recharged the full cycle, strangely enough. *He offers a small smile, one shoulder hefted in an awkward shrug.* It's just nice having someone next to you sometimes, helps you stay under for the scary parts of the defrag cycle... Ratchet seems to be feeling better today. He was more relaxed than he has been in a while when I came down to fetch breakfast - or, well, morning fuel. We kind of adopted the idea of 'breakfast' from Spike and Sparkplug because they always would come and sit down in the rec room with us during fueling and they'd eat uh... eggs and toast and sometimes waffles or pancakes but those didn't start until Carly was living there with us. But anyway, he seems to be feeling better though I don't know if he'll want to venture downstairs today - it took a bit of bribing to get him back to the party last night and I'd

[Waspinator is a bit curious about why Prowl's doing his job -cleaning is kind of his way of earning his keep around the place- but is a little too shy to just approach him about it, so he's hovering around, trying to stay out of the way.]
I wasn't aware it was anybody's job. The medbay required cleaning and I couldn't recharge, so for lack of anything better to do, I cleaned. I apologise if this has upset you
Hi all. I figure ICly she was still around. Tag at convenienceno_catsuit_thxJanuary 10 2011, 06:44:42 UTC
Marissa had slept the night after the party, curled on the end of a Cybertronian-sized berth in a borrowed room. The weather conditions didn't look promising from the window of the room, but she hopes to get a better idea below.
Now, dressed in her flightsuit and carrying her jetpack and duffel bag, she looks around to see who is awake, or online as the case may be.
The structure or its climate controls keep the air rather cool, but it's nothing the Captain hasn't had to accustom herself to on space stations or terraformed moons.
"I thought I might go out and explore some more of Nexusville. Temperatures should rise during the daylight hours."
*nods, understanding the need to explore ones surroundings*
The sun has warmed the area somewhat, the snow and ice is beginning to thaw. If you need a hand, I was going to venture out shortly to help gather Sari some warmer clothes, you're welcome to tag along if you wish.
*if sari was cold chances were the Captain was probably feeling the weather too, and it couldnt hurt to ask, Sari could definitely benefit from more human company*
*Jazz had been heading out of their borrowed room to find Prowl when he ran into the other ninja at the doorway. Smiling brightly at his mech, the white Guard's expression sobered when he got a proper look at Prowl's face.*
*shakes his head with a weary sigh, not thinking twice about wrapping his arms about his mech and holding him tightly as his head rested on his shoulder*
Mm, had a word with Bluestreak, he basically accused us all of not checking on Ratchet and blaming him for his current condition.
*fights back a low growl*
Which is grossly untrue and the mech didn't even hear what I said about us wanting to help and being worried and that Sari needs him
*stops himself before he gets annoyed again, his voice dropping to a low dejected murmur*
Sari's upset, I've offered to take her out to find some warmer clothes and to take her away from here for a bit. Distraction at least... *visor dims* I've probably made things worse so its the least I can do...
*trails off*
If you're not busy today... would you like to join us? The snow is melting, might be nice to get out while the sun's shining... *murmurs, his visor still troubled and dim*
*Tucking Prowl close, he rubbed his mech's back slowly, trying to soothe him, pressing a gentle kiss to the top of a dark helm before murmuring softly.*
I think we're all worried about the doc, and it's not helping anyone's temper, yours or Bluestreak's. It'll work out once everyone's cooled down.
*Giving the other ninja a light squeeze, Jazz sighed and continued.*
A drive outside sounds good. Sari needs something warm, and while the medbay's pretty well stocked, a supply run wouldn't hurt.
Mmhmm *nods, giving Jazz a small smile grateful that he at least was calm and collected about the situation*
I've also invited the Captain you brought back with you last night. She could help with the supplies for herself and Sari while she's here.
*squeezes his mech, stealing a chaste kiss before finally releasing him*
I said we'd meet them downstairs, if you're ready, I did pour you some ener-tea if you want to grab that before we leave *small smile, leading the way downstairs, his hand tangled with Jazz's out of comfort more than habit*
Also I hope you don't mind, but I told Sari about our plan to bond, it seemed to cheer her up for a little while.

I couldn't sleep. Too many things going on in my head. Some nights are just like that, especially since we got here.

I can understand that.
*staring at the counter he'd been obsessively cleaning, his smile faded*
I've been preoccupied somewhat myself.
*looking back at Sari as she sips her drink, his visor dims in sad thought*
Do you want to tell me about these things in your head?

Are you alright, Waspinator?
*is entirely unaware that he has taken someone else's task, the cleaning helped him focus and the ninja got carried away with his thinking*

*just blurts it out; he's good at that!*
Why iz cycle-bot doin' Wazpinator'z job?
