Actually, that's a very good question. Only, ya know, with Perceptor you could probably just grab anything that might capture his attention... Just make sure he hasn't seen it already.

Not me, nope. I totally didn't think of Perceptor. Except, ya know, I did. *looks offended* What!? It's logical! Seriously, though - they took him in Cosmic Rust, so they probably feel safer kidnapping someone they already know how to deal with.

Good point actually. I've forgotten about that episode.
I would also assume the Decepticons would feel safer without contracting the ire of either the remainder of a gestalt or four angry dinobots coming for their kidnapped comrade.

*snorts* Oh, I do hope someone writes this. It would be hilarious to read. Because you know that, even in this situation, Sunstreaker would still be preening. And all the pranks Sideswipe would play on the queen for taking his brother!

Ya know, my first thought is 'no', but then... What if bot 1 (for simplicity sake)turned traitor and bot 2 had to kill them? Only nobody realizes that bot 1 had turned traitor so they think that bot 2 just killed him in cold blood - which obviously needs to be punished in some way, only they don't know that really bot 2 really did the right thing...

A not so comedy of errors.
