Chapter Ten - Jaded By You
Title: Jaded By You
Pairings: Akame, Kurosawa Akihiko/Ishida Yuya & a brief mention of Akihiko/Anego
Notes: Alternate Universe where Jin is the big boss and Kame is an accomplished but a lowly employee.
Summary: Kame has a crush on Jin’s younger brother Akihiko… or it’s just what Jin thinks... and Kame is getting tired of Jin’s numerous accusations.
Chapter Ten
They headed straight to the Akanishi family’s private airport and various workers politely welcomed Jin.
“Good morning, sir.” Most of them greeted as the Akanishi successor strode purposely to his personal aircraft. Jin gave them a stiff nod as his reply.
Kame stopped the urge to sigh for the nth time that morning and wondered why he was in this situation. He was supposed to be on vacation leave this week, damn it! ‘Stupid boss.’ He thought and glared at Jin’s back.
“Ah, Jinnie-boy!” A very good-looking man greeted with a smile and a small wave.
“Shinkai-kun!” Jin returned the smile. “So, this is the crew you’re bringing?” He gave assessing looks at the vice captain and three cabin attendants.
“Yeah, I believe you’ve met everyone except for him.” Shinkai pointed at the small vice captain. “His name is Nakahara Shota1. He started last week and will be training under my strict guidance.”
“Nice to finally meet you, Akanishi-sama, sir.” Nakahara bowed politely.
Jin pleasantly smiled before gesturing at Kame. “This is my new assistant, Kamenashi Kazuya.”
Shinkai suddenly sported a big grin. “Oh... so this is... yeah. I’ve heard about him.” He threw a teasing smile at Jin’s direction.
The younger of the two ignored the look and instead, boarded the aircraft.
Kame bowed politely before following the big boss. He felt his jaw dropping when he saw the inside of the craft.
“Like it?” Shinkai asked from behind Kame. “She’s my baby. Beautiful, isn’t she?”
Kame nodded and inspected the interior of the plane. ‘Damn! It even has a kitchen and bar?!’
“What are you waiting for?” Jin snapped from his cozy seat. “You’re delaying the flight.”
“Sorry.” Kame muttered, unsure where to sit but an attendant saved him the hassle of choosing the seat when she guided him to the chair beside Jin’s. He muttered a small thank you before bracing himself for the long trip.
Before Kame noticed, his eyes grew heavier by the moment until he fell asleep.

Jin thoroughly examined the files he brought for the merger talks, making sure he read every fine print there was in the document. He gave an appreciative hum, and praised Kame silently for the work he did on this contract.
‘I’ll definitely give him a raise for this.’ He massaged his head slowly and very uncharacteristic of him, he felt the urge of wanting to have a conversation with his assistant. Judging that they will be working closely together, he might as well... make small talks with his assistant.
When he turned to his right, what he found beside him was his sleeping assistant.
A smile showed up on Jin’s face as he observed the small drool Kame had on the right side of his lips. He caught himself in the middle of that smile and the smile turned into frown. He had half the mind to wake the man up, but that would be rude of him so he decided against it.
Instead, he asked one of the attendants to get Kamenashi a blanket before returning to his paperwork.
‘Oh my, I’m turning soft on him.’ Jin irritably reflected.

Kame woke up feeling warm but with a bad case of stiff neck. Nonetheless, he smiled and nuzzled his warm pillow as he tried to find a better position to sleep in a sitting position. He even hugged his pillow tightly as he shifted his body.
Wait.
Pillow?
He opened his eyes and found himself... snuggling his boss.
The boss who was still absorbed on the paperwork he’s been working on since the plane took off.
Kame immediately lifted his head away from Jin’s shoulder and was embarrassed to see he left a bit of his drool on Jin’s suit. He lightly tapped the moisture away, reddening a little.
“You know, I find it normal for people to drool over me... and not on me.” Jin casually commented, lifting his gaze from the documents to stare Kame down.
“Um... I’m really sorry.” Kame was mortified. “I... it won’t happen again.”
“I sure hope so.” Jin raised an eyebrow. “These are designer clothes you know...”
“I’ll... pay for the cleaning.” Kame offered.
Jin huffed. “You won’t be able to afford it.”
“But... I can.” Kame insisted. Sure, he didn’t have a high paying job but he can still survive with that little expense he’d be spending on that damned dry cleaning bill!
“No you won’t be able to.” Jin cleared his throat. “That’s why I’m giving you a raise.”
“A-A raise?” Kame was dumbfounded.
Okay. So he wasn’t expecting that.
‘Maybe I should drool on Jin more often then.’ He thought, amused and ready to thank his boss for the raise.
Until Jin opened his big mouth. “Yeah, consider it a bribe to stay away from my brother.”
“I-I’m sorry?”
“Consider it a bribe to stay away from my brother.” Jin repeated, enunciating each word for Kame.
“Then... I won’t be able to accept the offer for a raise.” Kame muttered heatedly. “What the hell is wrong with you?” He glared. “I can’t believe you’re putting a price on the friendship I have with your baby brother.”
“There’s always a price for everything, pumpkin.” Jin snapped. “It’s too late to decline the salary increase because I already sent the request last week.” He bluffed given that he can’t very well say to Kame that he was impressed with the work he’s done... so he had to make an excuse for the salary increase. He can’t let Kame see he’s going soft on him.
“You’re crazy!” Kame claimed out loud.
Jin just shrugged. “Anything to keep you away from my brother.”
Kame took several deep breaths before standing up. “Excuse me.” He excused himself before leaving gracefully. He thought it would be better to compose himself in the restroom instead of shouting at his boss.
Jin smirked when Kame was gone.
Looks like he won this round.

In the restroom, Kame gritted his teeth in anger as he washed his hands. If only he wasn’t the breadwinner of the family, he would have quitted this job the day he learned he would be working as Jin’s slave.
He calmly opened the door to the restroom and saw the vice captain outside.
“Hi.” Shota smiled. “Kamenashi-kun, right?”
Kame nodded and returned the smile. “And you’re Nakahara-kun?”
“Yes.” Shota gestured at him. “Are you done?”
Kame scrambled to get out of the small confines airplanes call a restroom. “Uh... y-yes. Sorry.”
Nakahara just shook his head in amusement. “It’s okay.” the smaller man reached out and wiped away... the remnants of Kame’s drool.
“Oops.” Kame again reddened in discomfort. “T-thanks... I guess?”
“You’re just too cute.” Nakahara shook his head in an attempt to clear his mind.
Kame giggled softly and slowly walked away.
“Say...” That stopped Kame from leaving. “If you get enough free time in Hawaii, maybe... we can go out?”
Kame turned back and gave a small smile. “Sure. If I get some time off. Knowing the boss... he probably won’t give me one...”
“Oh. Well, if you have time, just... call the front desk and ask for my room number.”
“Sure.” Kame beamed and walked back to his seat with a big smile on his face.
“Took you long enough to pee.” Jin’s snide remark made the smile disappear from Kame’s face and oddly enough, well not so odd really, that made Jin feel a little happy inside.
“Sorry.” Kame half-heartedly replied. “I didn’t know you’re capable of missing me.” He muttered as he took his seat back.
“Here.” The taller man handed some papers brusquely to Kame. “Review these because I decided to give you a shot at the presentation.”
Kame took his seat. “What... p-presentation?”
“For the merger talks.” The boss said coolly. “Don’t mess up.”
Kame didn’t know whether to be grateful for the opportunity... or be afraid for his life if he messes up this one chance. He took the company-issued notebook computer out of its bag and started to do the presentation.
He didn’t notice the way Jin was smiling from his seat with a look of pure respect and approval thrown in his way.
