Hola again!
Wow I don't even know what to say first.
Okay maybe I do "CUZCO IS AMAZING!!" I love it here! It's so warm and friendly and busy and BEAUTIFUL and in my opinion so much nicer than Lima. I love the people and especially everyone I met today!
But before I get ahead of myself something must be said about the bus ride here from Lima.
OH MY GOODNESS :) When I first got on the bus, my first thought was WOW this is like first class! The seats were plush and leather and I could almost completly recline my chair, and the view from the second floor (where I was) was great. And I thought to myself, boy this is going to be a great trip!
PERO I spoke too soon! It was great at the beginning but as soon as it got dark was when we began our trek up the mountain. and wow, I did not get any sleep, not because the road was thin and curvy (which it is) and not because the bus was huge!! (which it was) and not because the bus driver was going so fast! (which HE totally was!) but because from 8 oclock until 4 oclock in the morning all I wanted to do was puke my guts out because of all the above combined reasons! I didn't throw up but I can not say the same for MOST of my neighbors! What a nightmare. And by the time I passed out grabbing my stomach at around 4, the sun came up at 6. And for the rest of the trip just the thought of sleep was hopeless. However, I did get some excellent photos! Like I said I had a great view and it was 22 hours of vista bonita!
above the clouds!
And of course Cuzco is BONITA! I love the buildings and the atmosphere. And of course all the IGLESIAS (churches)
I went around with two new friends. Andrea and Megan. Both are going to Urubamba with me tomorrow!
This one is sideways, but do you see the flags? The Cuzco flag is rainbow :) so of course I feel right at home! lol.
I've got to go get some sleep and tomorrow I am off to Urubamba! Apparantly it is just as amazing!!!!
I miss you Kate!!
I miss you Seth!!
And of course all of my family and friends. Lots of hugs and kisses from Peru!!!
