The prospect of Thursday beginning at 7 AM Central time and ending at 10 PM Pacific was unattractive enough that I went online to check last-minute prices for a direct flight from Chicago to Vancouver. Turns out that Friday night I can fly out at 7 PM and get back in Vancouver at roughly the same time of night. Change fee of $80 and 24 more hours
