I've been pretty lazy about training since arriving back on this side of the Pacific. Partially because I've been busy, and partially because I've been very undisciplined with my diet and just eating whatever I feel like. In the last two hours, I've went from being way late for my flight and being all but certain I wasn't going to be allowed to check in, to being here 90 minutes after the scheduled departure time. The prospect of Thursday beginning at 7 AM Central time and ending at 10 PM Pacific was unattractive enough that I went online to check last-minute prices for a direct flight from Chicago to Vancouver. Turns out that Friday night I can fly out at 7 PM and get back in Vancouver at roughly the same time of night. Change fee of $80 and 24 more hours ( Read more... )

That's one thing I've been complaining I haven't been doing enough of, and another thing I complain that I do too much. But I end up being happy that I did both.

I trained at New Breed Chicago jiujitsu in the morning. The instructor/owner, Mark, was a really cool guy and I liked how he broke jiujitsu ideas down in concepts. These guys win a lot ( Read more... )
