Reading an essay on Hans Christian Andersen, I was delighted by this quote taken from his autobiography:

He sums up his simple philosophy in his short autobiography, "The Story of My Life" in this mere fragment of a sentence: "...that there is a gracious God who makes all things work together for our good."
