I have found what may be, for me, the ideal way to do my daily devotions.
Audio Bible. While knitting.
After all, knitting already has a strong meditative quality to it...it would be the perfect time to do my Bible reading, except that not all patterns lend themselves nicely to reading while knitting. (Yes, some do. I've made a few stockinette scarves, miles of them it seemed, with a book propped up on my music stand...that's what I like about knitting; parts of it can be done without looking, so I can multitask.) So for those more involved patterns, audiobooks! I've been listening to
Cast On and
KnitCast and other knitting podcasts while working on my Eleanora socks; then it occurred to me to look for an audio Bible. And I found one. Yay!
Now the question is: How many knitting projects will it take me to listen through the whole Bible? I'm starting in Isaiah, Just Because. I guess I'll keep track here of what projects and books I've completed, and see how many it does take.
Back to Eleanora and Isaiah now!
