I love living in Australia sometimes...

Like today, when I was driving to get some lunch, and I saw a flock of 5 or 6 flying overhead. They are such big, imposing birds, and seeing a whole flock with their huge wingspans just flying around up there is spectacular.

I've never known the true value of that great aussie icon, the Aussie Cork Hat, in the whole 12 years I've lived here, until the past few weeks. You go outside and the flies literally stick to you!

The cockatoos visited us again. They live over where we used to live, across the bay from where we live now, and every once in awhile they pop by for a feed.

That happened Friday Morning.

It's spring. The lorikeets are back in form, and I had to get some cute photos of them because they had the nerve to come and beg for food as if they were starving!

The thing that was so funny about that is that they had HUGE amounts of yellow pollen all over their faces from the flower's they'd just been eating.
