Computer tasks for this afternoon

1. Put new power supply in old 1.7Ghz P4(?) that kicked the bucket a couple weeks ago. Power supply horked from work doesn't fit in case (not a show-stopper) and missing one of 3 plugs that it needs to make the thing work. Time for plan B.


2. PLAN B: Take 2 x 20Gb HDD out of computer that cacked it. Use SATA > USB link to link disks into different computer. F*&king SATA disks need power, and for some reason the link cable I have doesn't provide power. How stupid! OK. Going to have to go to PLAN C.


3. PLAN C: Open computer and link disk directly in.


4. Move my own files on the computer I'm linking into, to the former business computer for my husband's business that I'm now comandeering for my own. The other computer will go to my mother-in-law.


5. Reload the operating system on the "older" computer so it's nice and fresh for my mother-in-law, with the newly loaded files on the D: drive.

Yikes. Big task!
