First day with the "clean team"! Woohoo!!
As I mentioned before, husband has decided I need a cleaning lady so we have 2 ladies coming in twice a month. Today was their first visit - what can I say other than I am impressed. They were a little late arriving but were in and out in about an hour and 20 minutes. They did everything I had wanted them to do plus dusted all the blinds - how come I can't ever get that done?? The house smelled so fresh and just sparkled when they left. And the price was soooo reasonable. Why did I wait so long to do this??
I've been majorly spoiled this last 4 days off. Since we had an issue with the hot water tank which ended up needing to be replaced and cost $953. I didn't get much sleep on my last night working. So DD volunteered to do my grocery shopping for me. Huge help that was ....I could just get up on my first day off and relax, no stress or rush, rush, rush. Since the cleaners were coming today, I haven't had to lift a finger in the line of house cleaning for the last several days, pure heaven! Then to top it all off, husband took me out to breakfast this morning. Ah, Life is good!
I've been been working in the garden for the last couple of hours. Since we live in a townhouse, we have a gardener but I still like to do my own weeding and plant my flowers every spring. We spend a lot of time out in the patio in summer so I like it to look nice. It is a major job though and while it has taken a little longer than I had planned, I didn't want to put it off as the weather is supposed to turn to rain starting tomorrow. Need to get all those happy little flowers in the ground before that happens.
I had a tree removed from along the fence 2 years ago and I've finally received the ok to replant that area. I plan to create a curved flower bed and then plant some bushes and flowers. I also want to put a little statue in there somewhere and a few rocks but I'm going for somewhat of a minimalist look....and no there will not be any garden gnomes...not really my thing. I would love to put a metal heron there but man are they expensive, so we'll have to wait and see. I have a picture in my mind's eye of what I want it to look like but not sure if it's going to convert.
