Learning and sharing

Feb 15, 2009 17:09

Friday evening, 2/13/09.
In the lobby of a hotel near Hartsfield Jackson International Airport, Atlanta, GA.
Not in Pensacola, FL, where I *should* be by now.
So what did I learn today?
  1. Laguardia is still a sucky airport.
  2. AirTran is still a sucky airline.
  3. If you're taking a chance with a sucky airline going out of a sucky airport, don't take that chance on a holiday weekened.
  4. If taking such a chance is unavoidable, *DO* pad your connection time between flights because... (see above)

As unintentional overnight hotel stays go, you could do worse than the airport Sheraton outside Hartsfield. Plus the free shuttle to the Marta train system makes getting to and from Atlanta's downtown extremely simple.

Now where exactly is that gayborhood... :-)

atlanta, laguardia, travel, holidays, airtran, airports, president's day
